Epilepsy Mode, Music & Thr33’s Company, and New Screenshots

What’s up, guys? It’s been awhile, yeah?

Sorry I haven’t updated in a bit. Things have been busy with a show at my school called New Stages, which is basically a collection of 10-15 min. plays written, acted, and directed entirely by students, and I’m the assistant production manager. It takes a lot of time out of your schedule. Fortunately, I’ve had quite some time to work on the game, and while I’m behind schedule, things are (mostly) going rather smoothly. I have some stuff to announce today, too, so y’know…yay.

Finished Gavin’s weapons. Here’s an example of one of the descriptions.

First off, there’s a new options setting called Epilepsy Mode.

In it, flashes and light effects are heavily decreased and removed entirely in some cases, to prevent seizures or other incidents in those with epilepsy. I decided to add it in because I wanted a good friend of mine to play it without issue, and hopefully others (especially those with severe epilepsy) can do the same. If you guys have any more ways to improve this mode, or add another mode for special cases, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do. I want as many people to experience the game as best they can without worry. I’m trying to work on a colorblind mode as well, but it’s a lot harder to do, and I may not have the time or skill to do. I’ll try my best, though. 🙂

Yeah, yeah, Skyline Highway… it’s been redesigned and heavily expanded for use with the hookshot, allowing for greater freedom and exploration opportunities.

Second, I’d like to formally announce the composers for The Bravest Four.

The music is being done by THR33’S COMPANY, a group of super talented dudes who make awesome music.

From left to right: Chris Gilloly, Alex Ramsay, and Brian Kirby. Check out their individual stuff, too.

These guys are awesome, and I wouldn’t pick anyone else to do the soundtrack. They understand the game, are pretty hard working, and make kick-ass music. Don’t believe me? Give yourself a listen to a few tracks.

Healing items.

Welp, that’s all for now. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a game to make and some ads to film… 😉

Later.
