The February + March 2022 Development Update

Hey y’all! It’s me, ya boi Davionne, back again with another vibey development update. Hope everyone had a wonderful Black History Month (and ongoing Women’s History Month) and has been doing their best given everything else.

Development-wise, it’s been a relatively chill month. The game has been progressing along fine and I’m happy with how things are turning out… but with that being said, burnout has been hitting me like a TRUCK over the past few weeks, and I’ve found my overall productivity suffering quite a bit. Turns out working on a single video game for a long time is really hard! Like, REALLY HARD. I don’t know why we gamedevs do this to ourselves on a daily basis, but hey, that’s showbiz for ya.

At least the game looks and sounds very pretty though, and it only gets better with each passing day <3

But not to worry, though! Things have slowly been getting better as time passes. I’m a big proponent of actually living your life in order to do your best work, so I’ve been prioritizing exactly that. Between hosting Super Bowl / Euphoria watch parties, getting back into doing photoshoots, everything involving the NBA All-Star Weekend here in Cleveland, and even more debauchery… I gotta say, it turned out to be a pretty fun month.

At least… until it wasn’t.

As we’ve all heard and seen by now, the crisis going on in Ukraine is absolutely horrifying and heartbreaking. Needless to say, we stand with Ukraine and are strongly against the atrocities being committed there.

If you’d like to support our Ukrainian friends in their fight for freedom, here’s a few small ways you can help out:

To our Ukrainian friends, family and colleagues, you have our full love and support, and we pray that this crisis will come to an end as soon as possible.

Anyway, that’ll do it for this month. Y’all take care of yourselves and stay safe out there, yeah?

Cheers, and glory to Ukraine. 🇺🇦
